For the Host: If you wish to show your talents as a Chef and display your secret home recipes, Homemeal is your best friend! You will have the opportunity to create a publication very quickly and receive demands from potential guests coming from everywhere in the world.

For the Guests: If you want to go and meet people, you will just have to enter the city of your choice and see the different meals available in the area.

As a host, you are free to choose the amount you want to receive when organising an event. This will include the price of the groceries you are going to use but also the price of your hospitality! Homemeal adds up a commission fee of around 15% (rounded up values) over the price that you have chosen. Meaning that you will receive the integrality of the amount you asked to be paid for the service you will provide. The guest will take care of paying the commission fees to Homemeal.

As a Homemeal host, your activity is considered as "co-cooking" (meaning that you cook and share meals in your home with guests).

In France, revenues generated by this kind of activity do not need to be reported.

Thus, when you organise Homemeal events in your home, they are to be considered as private: it means that you welcome people at your place from times to times and that is not your principal source of revenue.

If you host people as a profession and you receive people with Homemeal, you will of course have to apply all the legal rules that are applicable to your activity, in terms of accounting, insurance, financial guarantee and safety.

If you wish to make a reservation with a Homemeal host, you will have to pay the amount freely fixed by the host as well as a commission fee at the time of the payment of your reservation.

At Homemeal, we are happy to make the link between people from all around the world and local host in order to live special culinary experiences in a safe way and with all the serenity possible. Going with Homemeal also implies to have an insurance if any problem occurs as a host but also as a guest under the amount of 300 000 euros. We have to finance it by taking a commission fee of around 15%.

To illustrate this, let's say that you make a reservation for a typical Alsatian brunch worthing 25€, you will pay the amount of 28,75€ (rounded up to 29€)

We ask our hosts to answer you in less than 48 hours, passed this delay, your reservation will unfortunately be cancelled.
